Matt in New York: 15 January 2010 - 12 February 2010
So this is my first blog, and I am already four weeks into my stint in Hewitt's New York office. I feel pretty settled into life here now and, having spent the initial few weeks completing projects for some of my UK clients, I am now beginning to gain some exposure to US pension plans and learning of some of the differences between arrangements in the UK and the US.

I'm Matthew Richardson and I work in the pension's team in Bristol. I joined Hewitt as a graduate in September 2005 and have worked in Hewitt's Bristol office for just over four years, qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2008.

Challenged to make a difference
In Summer 2009 our interns were put in teams and challenged to 'make a difference' to a charity close to one of our local offices. Team Impact were supporting St Georges Crypt in Leeds and two members of the London Team planned and successfully achieved a London to Leeds Cycle.
