Epsom
Epsom is a market town in Surrey, less than 20 miles south-west of Charing Cross. Easy access to both central London and the rolling Surrey countryside perhaps led to it being named in August 2005 by Location, Location, Location as the UK’s most desirable place to live.
Epsom has a lively nightlife and offers a wealth of high street stores but every June it is transformed into the epicentre of the horseracing world, when the Derby is held at its famous racecourse. The tennis at the nearby Wimbledon also fills the local hotels.
Its railway station has frequent rail services to London (running to Waterloo, Victoria and London Bridge) and other major Surrey towns. You can be anywhere in London within an hour, half of that to the South of the city.
The Hewitt office is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the mainline station and overlooks a large park with a lovely duckpond where many associates take in the sun and fresh air on a lunch hour, or when searching for mid-morning inspiration. The love of the open-air is perhaps also at the heart of the friendly cricket matches that spring up amongst some of the consultants each summer.
